DJ AM Dead

Just when you think he’s unbreakable. Surviving the private Jet crashed that killed everyone except for him and Travis.
Now the notorious DJ is DEAD! Found in his apartment in Soho (New York) surrounded by prescription drugs. One of his pals, called the police when AM wouldn’t answer or return his calls. A few Days? I see a huge flaw here. How many of you call cops when a friend would return calls after a few days?
DJ AM is another victim of drug overdose.
Michael Jackson comes alive again next month

Universal Motown creates a series of Michael Jackson project: The first one is The Remix Suite project which hit digital stores Tuesday. Already, the label is gearing up for the second part of the series then a third.
Suite II will premiere online next month and features some of hottest names in dance music. They will remix Jackson 5 tracks. To name a few:
Frankie Knuckles “Forever Came Today”
Fest gets it hard from Police.

What happens when you have Underworld, Chromeo, The Bloody Beetroots, and Crystal Castles in one roof? The biggest and most epic fun LA would have had this summer was shut down because there were “hazardous life-safety things taking place inside the event”.
At 17,000 over capacity attendance, hundreds of people snuck into the event, breaking down and climbing fences.
Daft Punk’s New Masterpiece Leaked

It’s been quite sometime ago the last time we heard from the French electronica duo Daft Punk (Guy-Manuel and Thomas Bangalter). While gone, the buzz didn’t stop of course. Daft Punk has been busy scoring a movie for Walt Disney’s upcoming film Tron Legacy.
The legendary composer Wendy Carlos (Clockwork Orange and The Shining) scored the first original Tron movie in 1982. A tought act to follow, but Daft Punk’s has a history of creating a masterpiece.
Of course with all the hype and mystery behind this DP project, a leak is inevitable.
One of the tracks has been leaked from some amatuer footage taken of the LightCycle exhibit at Comic-Con in San Diego.
Tiesto becomes Canadian

We just got the scoop from Tiesto’s management that his next album will feature mostly Canadian Artists…I could dreally use some Tiesto Remix of Celine Dion’s “my heart will go on”….anyways.
Now let’s get serious. The Celine Dion jokes are getting too old.
The new album, Kaleidoscope will feature Tegan & Sara, Emily Haines and Nelly Furtado.
Other guest collaborations includes Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Kele of Bloc Party, Calvin Harris, Sneaky Sound System.
Bad Boy Bill drops The Album far too late

This is kind of yesterday’s news, but it’s still HUGE! For the first time ever. Bad Boy Bill released an album. It’s hard to imagine for a DJ this big to have not produce any artist album. Since this marked a history. He named the album “The Album”. That’s very creative.
I think BBB is finally seeing his name fade away from the DJ charts. So he can’t sit back scratching vynils anymore to command high salary. The former DMC DJ is jumping on the band wagon of “DJ needs to be a Producer to make it big these days”.
The year of Electro Clash is now

Seeing Tiga, Peaches, Miss Kittin and Fischerspooner dropped a new album after another, I can’t help but think it’s 2001. Daft Punk is hot again, creating music for the Tron sequel. And now, their fellow French duo Cassius releases their first track in two years.
“Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes” is packed with guitars, Zdar’s vocals, pounding drums, and funky riffs.
