Knock You Out Following two huge remix contests with Depeche Mode and Black Eyed Peas, Beatport.com has teamed up with one of the world’s biggest DJs for a new producer challenge. From September 29th - November 3rd DJ Tiësto is inviting all budding DJs and aspiring producers the chance to remix ‘Knock You Out’ feat Emily Haines, taken from his new album.

Tiesto’s Kaleidoscope tour is set to be one of the biggest this year and with top pop/rock stars headlining the album, (including Nelly Furtado and members of Sigúr Rós and Blockparty) it’s sure to reach billboard success.

The trance scene wouldn’t be the same without Tiesto and he’s back with the first single of a forthcoming album ‘Kaleidoscope’, set to release October 6th. Tiesto is definitely thinking outside the box yet again to deliver ‘Louder Than Boom,’ a massive tech trance monster. This will undoubtedly become another classic for the unstoppable Dutch superstar.

We just got the scoop from Tiesto’s management that his next album will feature mostly Canadian Artists…I could dreally use some Tiesto Remix of Celine Dion’s “my heart will go on”….anyways.

Now let’s get serious. The Celine Dion jokes are getting too old.

The new album, Kaleidoscope will feature Tegan & Sara, Emily Haines and Nelly Furtado.

Other guest collaborations includes Jónsi of Sigur Rós, Kele of Bloc Party, Calvin Harris, Sneaky Sound System.

Tiësto has teamed up with acclaimed Japanese director Muto to create the music video for “I Will Be Here”, a collaboration with Sneaky Sound System. This is the first single off Tiësto’s forthcoming album ‘Kaleidoscope’ and is available now on Ultra Records in North America and the rest of the world on 14th Floor Records. The single will be released in the UK on 15th September.

Victoria Park is big. Huge. But the thumping sound system in the arena could be heard long before I hurdled the park’s periphery fence… a 20 minute walk and I was picking up my press pass at the arena entrance and heading into the mass of orange-clad trancers…. The line-up was impressive, but we were all there for only one person - that title, though, may be a doing a disservice to this particular protagonist.

There is a certain air around a Tiesto concert; a buzz, an expectancy that only comes when Tijs is in town. The world’s premier trance DJ over the last decade, the best ever… is a brand unto himself, an enigma drawing people in from all genres and tastes to his inimitable style. Judging by the set he produced at the park, Tiesto clearly understands that, intentionally or organically, he has transcended the stereotype of trance producer DJs into a realm all of his own making; a melange of his own work, vintage and contemporary trance brilliance, elecktro and…. pop. Ya, weird - but in Tiesto we trust and he somehow brings it together.

The biggest DJ in the world (the phenomenon, DJ Tiesto) is holding his very own event in the beautiful environs of Victoria Park on 31^st July and it’s about to get even bigger!
